Here’s one of the PuppyDucks favorite fruit & veggie smoothie recipes. Ask an adult to help you make this.

This is my pink starter smoothie as it’s pink on the outside with greens on the inside. You get the value of green vegetables, the power of antioxidants from the blueberries, enzymes from the pineapple and extra protein if you add a protein powder.  I  also use apple juice as a base, it helps keep it sweet!

Berryblast_sm22 cups of spinach (or you can use kale)
1 stalk of celery
4 oz of water
4 oz apple juice (or any other juice you prefer)
1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
1/2 cup of fresh or frozen pineapple chunks
1/2 an apple (peeled)
A chunk of raw beet (about a 2″ x 3″ piece should suffice), that’s just about enough to make it pinkish
1 tsp of stevia or your favorite sweetener
4-6 ice cubes

If you’d like to pack some protein in it try:

1 scoop of protein powder (for this recipe I prefer Vega plant based protein powder, although other protein choices include rice protein, whey protein & egg protein.)
