Here are some fun facts about cooking  with ingredients used in a Spanish kitchen.

 

Have You Tried Beans?

Did you know that there are different colored beans? To start there are black, red and pink called pinto beans.

Did you know that beans are really healthy and nutritious to eat?

Did you know that by eating beans you can help to stabilize your blood sugar levels?

Did you know that different countries use different beans more than others?

 

Have You Tried Peppers?

Did you know that there are different types of peppers, some hot and some sweet?

Did you know that eating a hot pepper can burn your mouth?

Did you know that if you ever eat anything too hot or spicy, you should drink milk to help the burn go away?

Did you know that small peppers are usually hotter than large peppers?

 

 

Have You Tried Spanish Vegetables?

Did you know that vegetables eaten in Spanish homes are usually very starchy?

Did you know the avocado isn’t really a vegetable, but it is a fruit?

Did you know that vegetables like yuca have a lot of vitamin C?

 

 

 

 

How many Spanish Speaking countries do you know?

Did you know that Puerto Rico is actually part of the United States? It is considered a Commonwealth of the United States.

Did you know that many Spanish speaking countries are in the Caribbean, Central and South America? These are considered Latin American.

Did you know that people from Spain are not considered Latino? Because they are not from Latin America.
